Cédric Dublaix · Winegrower

Château Dédieu Vin de Bordeaux

One land, one winegrower, and a wine that travels the world. This is its story.

100%

of the production is sold in bulk, under contract, to négociant houses, then exported.

Château Dédieu does not sell to private customers.
The estate

A Bordeaux wine that travels, a land that stays.

Introductory paragraph about the estate: what Château Dédieu is, where it is, since when, and what makes it unique. Two or three sentences are enough: the rest of the story unfolds below, chapter by chapter.

Our story

Four chapters, one land.

From the first vine to the wine that leaves for export: the story of Château Dédieu, told by the man who lives it.

Chapter I1 / 4

The beginnings

How it all began: the family's arrival on this land, the first vines, the first vintages. The dates and names that matter.

Rows of vines heavy with grapes in summer
Chapter II2 / 4

The land

The estate's terroir: its soils, the exposure of its plots, its climate. What this land gives the wine that cannot be found anywhere else.

The craft

Work in the vineyard and in the cellar: Cédric's choices, his methods, what he has learned and what he has changed. What gives Château Dédieu its signature.

Today

The estate today: a wine sold in bulk to négociants and shipped abroad. Where it travels, and what Cédric imagines for the future.

“A sentence from Cédric about his craft, his land, and what gets him up every morning to go out into the vines.”

A few lines about Cédric: his background, how he became a winegrower, what he loves about the job and what he wants to pass on through his wine.

The vineyard

Terroir, at the heart of everything.

One sentence to introduce the vineyard: where it is, its landscape, what sets it apart.

Area
XX hectares of vines
Vine age
XX years on average

A year at the estate

Twelve months for one vintage.

Wine is made in the vineyard first, season after season.

Winter

Pruning

Vine by vine, pruning prepares the plant for the year ahead and already shapes the coming harvest.

Spring

Awakening

Buds burst, leaves unfold, then comes flowering: everything is decided in a few weeks.

Summer

Véraison

The bunches change colour and fill with sugar. We watch, we tend, we wait.

Autumn

Harvest

The grapes are ripe: we harvest, then winemaking begins in the cellar, before the wine leaves for the négociants.
